Sunrise yoga, on the sand

Small-group practice at Kapiʻolani Beach. All levels welcome — from first-timers to long-time practitioners.

Slow practice, taught by people who live here.

Aloha Yoga has been practicing on the south shore for fifteen years. We keep classes small — eight to twelve students — so the teacher can actually see your alignment and adjust where you need it. Most of our instructors were practicing here long before they were teaching, and a few have been on the same stretch of sand since the 90s. We don't do hot yoga. We don't do power flow. What we teach is the kind of practice that meets you where you are on the day — slower when you're tired, steadier when you need grounding, and sometimes just a long savasana under the morning sun. Bring a mat if you have one. We have extras if you don't. First class is on us.
